If you are experiencing issues while attempting to use a controller with Towerborne, the following tips and steps may help to correct the issue.
General Tips:
- Try disabling any third-party software (DS4Windows, for example) to see if that helps.
- Try switching between wireless and plugged-in cord to connect to your system.
- Check if you have any other peripherals connected, including bluetooth devices, and if so, try disconnecting/disabling them to make sure it's not trying to use a different controller.
Is your connection wired?
Wired Controller:
- Ensure that your controller is securely plugged in
- Ensure your cables are not frayed or broken
- Try another port or another cable
Wireless Controller:
- Make sure your controller is charged and turned on
- Replace batteries or charge if necessary
- Turn off/on your Bluetooth on your console and your controller to reset them
Calibrate Your Controller
If your controller is not responsive or moving unexpectedly, you may need to try calibration. Check your console for more information about how to calibrate your controller.
My controller won’t turn on
Wired Controller:
- Ensure your controller is plugged in
- Check the controller for any frayed or broken wires. If any of your wires are frayed or broken, this may be a hazard, and you should discontinue use until your controller is repaired or replaced
Wireless Controller:
- Check the batteries.
- Rechargeable batteries - ensure that your batteries are fully charged
- Replaceable batteries - try changing out your batteries for fresh batteries
My controller turns on, but won’t connect
Wired Controller:
- Unplug your controller, and plug it back in again
- Check for damage to your controller. A damaged controller may not function properly
Wireless Controller:
- You may need to power cycle your controller by turning it off, then back on again.
- If you’re using bluetooth to connect, you may want to turn off your bluetooth and turn it back on again.

My controller has damage
