What do I do if I can't log in?

Receiving a login error can be a result of many different issues. Please be sure to check out our troubleshooting steps to ensure there aren’t external factors preventing you from logging in.

Known Issues

Please check our Known Issues page for any issues that could be related to getting into Towerborne.

Check your internet connection

Ensure Steam is online (Steam players only)

If Steam is offline, you will not be able to connect to Towerborne’s servers. Please ensure that you are not in “offline mode”

To check your online status, open your Steam Client, then click “Steam” at the top left. You should see the option to either go offline or online. If you are in offline mode, please switch to online mode and start the game again.

IPv6 (Windows PC and Steam players)

Players who are receiving the message "Login Error" after opening Towerborne may be running into an issue with their Internet service protocol. This occurs for players who are on IPv6.

Please note that this may cause some Windows components to function incorrectly until it's re-enabled. If you're willing to try disabling IPv6 to test this out, you can follow these instructions:

To Disable IPv6:
1. Use the shortcut, Windows Key + X to open the Control Panel.
2. Open Network and Internet.
3. Open Network and Sharing Center.
4. Click Change Adapter Settings.
5. Right-click your connection and go to Properties.
6. Uncheck the box next to Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) to disable it.
7. Select OK to confirm the change.
